Tax Allocation District (TAD)
College Park's progressive strategy toward developing a Tax Allocation District (TAD) in the city's downtown district has been clarified in numerous meetings between Economic Development leadership and potential developers, citizens and additional stakeholders.
A public presentation was held in December 2014 to a standing room only gathering in Council Chambers. Economic Development staff has held additional scoping sessions leading up to a presentation before Mayor and Council during a workshop held March 16, 2015.

Downtown Design Guidelines
The Downtown Design Guidelines were adopted in June 2011 by Mayor & Council in order to address rehabilitation and new construction in both the Virginia Neighborhood Commercial District and the Downtown Business District.

Facade Grant
The College Park Main Street Association (CPMSA) Facade Program is designed to encourage the renovation and rehabilitation of commercial structures within the Main Street and Virginia Avenue Business District.
With grants funded through the City of College Park Economic Development Office, CPMSA will assist property owners in undertaking improvements designed to enhance Downtown College Park, promote additional pride of ownership, and create an environment conducive to business growth and expansion. Downtown Parking Study 2011
The College Park Downtown Parking Study identifies and evaluates opportunities to improve the operation of the parking system in the core downtown area immediately surrounding the Main Street and the MARTA system.
