The Director of Public Works directly oversees the functions and services of the following six divisions. Administration, Highways & Streets, Buildings & Grounds / Parks, Water & Sewer, Sanitation, and Storm Water Utility.
The Director of Public Works strives to provide the citizens of College Park with a productive and efficient workforce that is committed to the delivery of excellent service, integrity, teamwork, and quality customer service.
Functions:
- Develop the Department's short and long range strategic goals
- Develop and implement the City's infrastructure Capital Improvement Program
- Provides direction to staff regarding City Services and Operations
- Oversees the Department's operating, maintenance and capital improvement budget
- Establish Departmental policies and procedures
- Ensures employee training and development
