Conditional Height Permit
Due to College Park's proximity to the airport, there are height restrictions throughout the City. A Conditional Height Permit may
be required, depending on specifications surrounding the
proposed project.
Conditional Use Permit
A conditional use permit is a zoning exception which allows the property owner use their land in a way not otherwise permitted within the particular zoning district. This application is appropriate when the applicant believes that the use is similar to other uses allowed in the zoning district and would be appropriate for the zoning district.
Rezoning
The City of College Park has specific zoning regulations in place. If a property owner seeks a change in the zoning classification, they may submit an application for rezoning. This application is appropriate when a proposed use is not compatible with the properties current zoning.
Variance
A variance is an exception to regulations. Examples of variances are a reduction in setbacks or a change to sidewalk or landscaping requirements.
Zoning Certificate
If you require official documentation of a property's zoning, then please request a Zoning Certificate from the Planning Office.
